First up, there was more drama on the Activision front. The most major news is that Activision Blizzard is now being investigated by the SEC, following the State of California lawsuit that alleges a toxic workplace and other shockingly terrible events being swept under the rug at the company. Additionally, Overwatch 2 lost its executive producer, painting an even grimmer picture for the company’s future.

In other news, Quantic Dream might be making a Star Wars game. While nothing has been confirmed yet, rumor has it that Quantic Dream is inking a new deal with Disney following the fulfillment of its contract with Sony. Quantic Dream makes a specific brand of narrative game, which paints a picture that it could be removed from the lightsaber-wielding Jedi and instead feature bounty hunters, smugglers, or something else entirely. That’s all rumor and speculation for now, though.
Respawn, meanwhile, stated that it’s too busy to make Titanfall 3, though a statement released by the company since then has restored some hope that Titanfall 3 is on the way. However, with everything the studio has cooking at the moment, it might be a while before fans get to see it, if they ever do.
